Activation: Craftcore

Craftcore Never Dies, an interactive space created by the Fashion for Good Museum in collaboration with De Naaierij , United Repair Centre and New Order of Fashion, was hosted during a 3-day festival this summer.

With nearly half of all festival-goers planning to buy a new outfit this season – 1 in 3 saying they'll only wear it once! – we proposed to break the fast fashion cycle. Let’s reduce the negative impact on the planet by shopping in our own closet and re-wear what we already own!

Craftcore Never Dies embraces craftcore, a fashion subculture that centres on artisanal techniques. From crochet to quilting, embroidery to dyeing, we cherish the art of upcycling and repairing. Through a workshop space and an immersive pop-up exhibition showing the looks of talented designers, Craftcore Never Dies empowered individuals to explore sustainable ways to create their next festival look.
