LAB Atelier
A space for drawing, pattern and fabric cutting, sewing and embroidery. The atelier features both domestic and industrial sewing machines, overlockers, steam iron, 6-colour digital embroidery machine, plotter and heat press. We have various hand tools, fabrics and yarns from deadstock and post consumer origin.
Day fee - €20
Monthly fee - €250
The LAB Atelier is available for use by anyone who knows how to sew/can use the machines on an independent basis.
You must complete a short safety introduction by one of our members of staff prior to working in the Atelier. Please email lab@neworderoffashion.com to book an intro.
For self-directed access to the atelier space, the cost is €20 per day. This is paid by cash or card at the start of your session. It grants you access to the sewing machines, iron, heat press, plotter, and various hand tools. Alternatively, you can choose to pay a monthly membership fee of €250 per month for anytime access, Monday – Thursday 9am to 5pm.
Guidance
If you need an introduction to the plotter or basic sewing machine skills, please indicate this in your booking email. For this you pay an additional one-time fee of €15.
For 1-1 guidance on sewing construction and project/garment development, create a booking via lab@neworderoffashion.com. This costs €75 per hour.
Materials
For informal tips on materials to use in your work and craft techniques, visit Monday-Thursday to meet with Pollyanna Moss who can help you with further information and references.
We do not have regular stock of fabrics or sewing notions available in the lab, you need to bring these yourself. We have small amounts of fabric for testing and repairs.
