A key aspect of Kornel’s approach is his dedication to craftsmanship, which plays a central role in his creative process. He employs traditional techniques and meticulous attention to detail, merging artisanal skills with contemporary ideas.
Through his work, Kornel creates a unique dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation, resulting in pieces that are not only visually compelling but also rich in cultural narrative. His ability to integrate these diverse influences allows him to produce work that resonates on multiple levels, celebrating the beauty of craftsmanship while offering insight into the complexities of cultural exchange.

You can often find me in the lab developing my designs, helping others with patterns and constructions or throwing a tshirt tuning workshop.
I have a masters degree from product design which translates a lot to how i see clothes - feature-full yet simple pieces u want to use everyday.
All my skills are self taught, all my experience comes from a lot of mistakes i made on the way and i take quite an anti fashion approach to what i do, which puts me on the same wavelength with the philosophy of the lab.
Natural materials, creating durable products that will last you for long time and ocassional zero waste approach are some of the sustainable aspects i use in my practice.

Madelon Hendrix is a passionate designer who lovingly brings vintage designer clothes back to life, both by hand and with the sewing machine. Her journey began during her studies in International Fashion Design, where she launched her own brand, MADRIX, focused on upcycling clothes in 2023.
She works at our New Order of Fashion Lab, supporting us with workshops and various projects whenever needed. Two days a week, she’s also a sewist in a disability daycare, applying her skills in a meaningful way.
Most weekends, you’ll find Madelon at Club Switch in her hometown of Helden, where she connects with different artists and often has the chance to give away one of her upcycled pieces. Madelon has known her way around Eindhoven since starting her studies here seven years ago, and living in the city for the past four years.
