Valentine Tinchant x Essentiel

NOoF talent Vantine Tinchant is showcasing (and selling!) her latest collaboration: An upcycled capsule collection with leftover stock from Essentiel Antwerp.  

Currently exclusively at their Knokke store, the 14-piece collection spectacularly reimagines leftover stock of the brand including some of their signature prints.

“I first look at the materials, the colors and prints and quite quickly I see what matches and which materials would work nicely together. Then I sketch all the ideas I have.” Valentine explains.

“Afterwards I drape them on a mannequin and once I’ve figured out the designs, I start visualizing them. I take pictures of every piece in its original form and by collaging them on photoshop into my new design ideas, I get to visualize the end results.

Once I am satisfied with the designs, I present them to the creative design team of Essentiel Antwerp. With the chosen designs we go to our production atelier. There we go through all the designs with our lovely team, Shawkat, Sybille and Hannah. I explain them my ideas, how I imagined the garments would look like and we discuss the possibilities all together. I visit the atelier weekly to see the process and help.”

The collection is on view – and sale – at the Essentiel Antwerp store in Knokke, Kustlaan 70, until august 31.
