SLOTH ROUSING CFW debut

NOoF talent Marie Sloth Rousing debuted the first collection of her eponymous brand SLOTH ROUSING during Copenhagen Fashion Week!

A way to lead the hand

Manner is a performance that showcases Sloth Rousing’s first collection. Shirts and a tablecloth united and became turning points of the performance. Food was served and the table was set for what seems like a conventional dinner.
While performers were consuming the carefully curated courses, the setting changed with spills staining the installation, turning the table cloth into reflections in reference to Sloth Rousing’s first collection.
The performance took place while models waited the table, wearing the Manner Collection and, by interacting with the ever-changing installation, created a continuous balance between the collection, worn on the body, and the table, explored through the performance.

Manner seeks to tell a story on how traces are made from the movements of our hands. The performance was presented  during Copenhagen Fashion Week on August 10th 2021. Manner is made in collaboration with textile designer Anna Clarisse Holck Wæhrens.

New Order of Fashion showed the work of Rousing during the 2018 exhibition Shape Shifters. More recently the foundation commissioned Rousing to collaborate on the self-initiated R&D project From Scratch.
