Namens New Order of Fashion willen we u van harte bedanken voor uw kleding donaties!

De eerste textielinzameling in het teken van From Scratch was een groot succes! Na honderden kilo’s kleding te hebben verzameld in Eindhoven is het project nu officieel van start gegaan!

De komende maanden wordt in samenwerking met ontwerper Alicia Minnaard onderzoek gedaan naar de donaties: Waar zijn deze gemaakt? Uit welke materialen bestaan ze? En natuurlijk: Hoe kunnen we deze het beste recyclen? Binnenkort worden uw donaties door textielrecycling bedrijf Wolkat vervezeld en tot nieuwe garens gesponnen, waarna ontwerper Bart Hess hier een nieuw textiel van gaat ontwerpen.

Bent u benieuwd welke jonge New Order of Fashion talenten aan de slag gaan met het From Scratch textiel? En hoe de Eindhovense “Stadspakken” er uit komen te zien? We houden u op de hoogte van de volgende stappen!

Over From Scratch 

Wat zijn de resources in de wereld van vandaag? Die groeien niet meer aan een boom of plant, noch halen we die uit de grond om er iets nieuws van te maken. Nee, we beginnen bij ons overschot: textiel “afval”!

In het teken van het project From Scratch activeert NOoF ontwerpers, industrie en consument gezamenlijk te bouwen aan een circulair mode systeem waar gedoneerde kleding de grondstof vormt voor een collectie van circulaire fashion items, welke wij “Stadspakken” noemen!

On behalf of New Order of Fashion we would like to thank you for your clothing donations!

The first From Scratch textile collection event was a big succes! After collecting hundreds of kilos of clothing and textiles in Eindhoven, the project has now officially started!

The upcoming months will be utilised to research the donations in collaboration with designer Alicia Minnaard: Where are the donated clothes produced? Which materials are they made of? And of course: What is the best way to recycle the items? Soon after textielrecycling company Wolkat will process the textiles into fibers and spin yarns out of them, which designer Bart Hess will use to design a textile with.

About From Scratch 

What are the resources of todays World?  They no longer grow from trees or plants, nor do we take them from our soil. No, we start with our surplus: textile “waste”!

As a part of the research and development project From Scratch, NOoF activates designers, industry partners and consumers to collectively build a circular fashion system. Donated clothing form the raw materials for a collection of circular fashion items, which we call “Stadspakken” (City Suits).
